Throughout my life I've always felt the odd one out. A socially awkward, feminine, lanky, artsy gay boy, growing up in an environment far too unfamiliar to my soul. Always the bottom rung of the social ladder, I was often suffocated by the black void of loneliness that surrounded me. I used to dream of a spaceship that would beam me up and take me far away, back to my home planet. But when the spaceship never came, I retreated within myself to create an entire universe just for me.

Escapism has been a common theme throughout my artistic development. This scene depicts the legend of the Bluebell. If you pick a wild bluebell, it's said that the fae will lock you in their dimension, never to escape the forest. Are you being held prisoner? Or are you finally free?

Perpetual Sunset depicts what a world would feel like if it were forever encapsulated in the warm glow of sunset.
