A brief history of the Mystic Stitchery Studio
Matt started his sewing journey in grade 7 when he wanted to start creating his own Halloween costumes. Eventually those costumes would become more grandiose and over the top, made from materials ranging from literal trash to luxury designer textiles. His work has been acquired by companies such as Game Cigar Company.
This is a forced collaboration that I created by combining a Members Only jacket with a pair of Adidas track pants. Photo of the waistband wrist cuff in the next slide.

Here is another upcycle that I created using a pair of US Army pants and a pair of full leg zip nylon track pants. I inserted the zipper into the side seams of the army pants and created the straps with the rest of the nylon. I also tapered the pant for a better fit.

This drawstring pouch was made with fabric that I hand dyed with herbs like turmeric and hibiscus among others. It's also lined with a premium satin fabric.

This is another upcycle that I created using two different trench coats. I combined them to create patterning that resembles a bee with a double sleeve and collar detail. Close up of the hand painted details on the next slide.
